On Wednesday, President Biden delivered a message from Pittsburgh unveiling his administration’s plan to tackle the nation’s aging infrastructure. The American Society of Civil Engineers recently gave the nation’s built environment a poor grade of C-minus earlier this year. The president’s administration indicated that it wants this bill to be on the scale of the New Deal of Great Society programs of the 20th Century.
During his remarks, President Biden said, “Today, I’m proposing a plan for the nation that rewards work, not just rewards wealth. It builds a fair economy that gives everybody a chance to succeed. And it’s going to create the strongest, most resilient innovative economy in the world. It’s not a plan that tinkers around the edges. It’s a once-in-a-generation investment in America.”
